Péter Szijjártó, Hungarian Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, addressed the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) on 21 June, 2021, as the Chair of the Committee of Ministers.

In his speech, the Minister reviewed the priorities of the Hungarian Presidency ( promoting the effective protection of national minorities, future generation, interreligious dialogue, future challenges, environment), as well as the presidency programmes that are organized along the line of the priorities. During his speech, Péter Szijjártó emphasized the Hungary's successess in its COVID-19 vaccination process. He also highlighted that vaccination cannot be a political issue, ideologies and geopolitical reasons should not play a role in the matter. Following his speech, the Minister answered the questions of the representatives of each political group.
